The city named Çorum and its administrative, social and economial situation from Tanzimat to II. Meşrutiyet era

This research is about the city named Çorum and its administrative, social and economical situation from Tanzimat to II. Meşrutiyet era. İn this project, sizteem Qadi Registers ( between the period of 1839-1909), Temettuât Notebooks which are written between 1845 ( also, there have been fourty-two notebooks and one hundrend fifty-two Temettuât notebooks for it's villages). İn additions to these, notebooks and documents which had been classified ad grouped differently, in Prime Minister Ottoman Archieves, State Annates ( Annales of State), Annates of city of Ankara and directorade of waqfs from general coordinations of Waqifs were used in this work. This study contains introduction and five chapters. İn the first chapter is about instincts, villages, administrative classifications. İn the second chapter social stucture. İn the third part population, religious and social life, in the fourt chapter agricultural life, animalcule and commercial structure vere investigated. Even in the last and fifth chapter jurisdictional and militarical stuation had been viewed. Many important effects of administrative, militarical and jurisdictional reforms that had been created after Tanzimat Era can be seen in Çorum city. Especially, the effects of administrative reforms were very impressive even this resulted in Çorum becoming a new in 1856. Administrated city from by town directors and kaymakam ( head- officials) for a long time had started to be managed mutasarnfs in 1894. İn the town, there are mosques, cornes, baths, masjids, medressehs, dervish'lodges of mevlevis and Rifais asa monuments, also in this study lots of many important are criticized about family structural of Çorum city and it's effects on social and economical life depend upon Qadi Registers.
