Abstract (EN)
It has been observed that Covid 19, whose effects were first seen by December 2019, and which was declared a pandemic by the WHO in March 11, 2022, has affected the World economy. Curfews, work-from-home practices, sectoral closures and/or restrictions implemented with the declaration of the pandemic have revealed a global economic crisis. The aim of this study is to determine the economic effects of the Covid-19 period on the Turkish Banking Sector through financial ratios. By comparing the financial ratios of the banks for the pre-pandemic period with the financial ratios for the post-pandemic period; it is attempted to determine whether there is a significant difference between the data through the T-Test. This study contributes to the literature in this field by determining the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic period on banks, which are the building blocks of financial markets.
