A research to investigate te relationship between attitude to Covid-19, life satisfaction and anxiety

In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between individuals' attitudes towards Covid-19, life satisfaction and anxiety level. In addition, it was aimed to reveal whether the attitudes towards Covid-19, life satisfaction and anxiety levels differ according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. The population of the research consisted of individuals residing in the province of Ardahan and a total of 650 people participated in the research. In the research, life satisfaction scale, coronavirus anxiety scale, multidimensional Covid-19 scale and demographic information form were used. In the study, factor analysis was used to determine the validity of the data collection tools, and the Cronbach alpha coefficient was used to determine their reliability. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation values were used in descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that the personal and demographic characteristics of the participants created differences in their attitudes towards Covid-19, life satisfaction and anxiety levels. In the study, it was determined that anxiety had a statistically significant effect on the attitude towards Covid-19. In other words, it has been determined that individuals with high coronavirus anxiety had more feelings and behaviors towards Covid-19, thoughts on Covid-19, and measures taken against Covid-19. As a result of the study, it can be said that there is a need for multidisciplinary studies and concrete steps in the management of epidemics and in changing the attitude towards Covid-19, in order to reduce the health anxiety of individuals towards Covid-19, to increase their life satisfaction and to strengthen them psychologically.
