With the epidemic that occurred in China in December 2019, consumers turned to e-commerce. The rapid development of technology and the increase in the use of the internet have changed the way of commerce. While buyers and sellers meet in a physical environment in classical trade, with this change, buyers and sellers can meet for commercial activities without the need for a physical environment. has accelerated. Electronic trade; It is a form of trade where the producer and the consumer meet on the internet and all transactions from order to payment are carried out in the same environment. E-commerce has gained a global dimension with the internet surrounding the world like a network. With the development and spread of electronic commerce, the types of e-commerce have also changed. In this study, the increase in consumers' orientation to e-commerce with the Covid-19 epidemic in Turkey was examined. There is a difference in pre-epidemic and post-epidemic products in online shopping. With the development of e-commerce, there is also a change in information and technology. With Covid-19, there has been a difference in the habits of consumers around the world. Individuals have adapted to differentiating conditions by changing their shopping habits. Pandemic already means epidemic. For this reason, we need to express this situation either as a pandemic or as a Covid-19 epidemic. In this process, a development is observed in the dimension of e-commerce. Even individuals who do not know how to shop with e-commerce have become involved in e-commerce with the support they receive from their environment. The sector most affected by the pandemic has been e-commerce. It is thought that e-commerce, which has developed during the epidemic, will continue to develop after the epidemic. Many epidemics have emerged from the existence of humanity to the present day, and while some of them have affected a region, some have affected the whole world. Covid-19 has also shown the feature of being an epidemic that manifests itself today and affects the world. Some partial or full restrictions have been implemented to combat the epidemic. With these restrictions, people preferred e-commerce by getting rid of physical commerce. The aim of this study; To reveal the increasing importance of e-commerce during the pandemic period in Turkey with statistical data. This study consists of two parts. In the first part; The definition and development of e-commerce, the benefits of e-commerce and its evaluation in terms of producer/consumer are examined. In the second part of the study, the conceptual definition of the pandemic, the impact of the pandemic on social life, the importance of e-commerce in the Covid-19 epidemic, the product categories that increased with Covid-19 were examined and literature studies on e-commerce during the Covid-19 process were included.
