The importance of indoor ornamental plants and evaluation of consumption behaviors of women in the COVİD-19 pandemia process

The world has experienced many epidemics from the past to the present. These epidemics have affected the life of society throughout history and causing demographic, social and economic problems. With the Covid-19 pandemic, wearing a mask has become mandatory in our country, and restrictions have been imposed on social areas such as restaurants, cafes and cinemas. In the process of people's Covid-19 Pendem, it goes to individualization together with concepts such as home, closed area, isolated environment. In this case, it brings along new trends and consumption. In our country, the Covid-19 outbreak has changed the direction of research and evaluations have begun to be made from different perspectives. This thesis study was conducted on women over the age of 18 living in Tokat, who spent more time at home during the pandemic process. It is aimed to determine the effect of Covid-19 on the purchasing tendencies of indoor ornamental plants and the time spent on cultural care of plants and to highlight the positive effects of indoor ornamental plants on people. Factor analysis, correlation, Chi-square and Q sort analyses were used in the thesis study. As a result, it was determined to determine the demographic characteristics of the 397 women participating in the survey, the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic process and their tendency to indoor ornamental plants in this process. 67.7% of the women were married. 166 women (41.8%) were between the ages of 26-35. The number of people who had ornamental plants at home after the pandemic (71.5%) was higher than before the pandemic (50.9%). In the light of the statistical analysis made in line with the expressions and responses about indoor ornamental plants, it was revealed that it contributed positively to human psychology in the Covid-19 process.
