Özet (EN)
Objective: The COVID-19 outbreak is a pandemic that affects the whole world. Evaluating patients and their contacts in order to prevent the spread of epidemics is very important for the control of the epidemic. In our study, it was aimed to see how the burnout levels, anxiety levels and quality of life of healthcare workers who worked in filiation during the pandemic were affected by the team they worked with, duration of work, sociodemographic characteristics and individual habits. Materials and Methods: This study, which was planned as a cross-sectional type, was conducted in a single center. Seyhan, Yüreğir, Çukurova and Sarıçam districts, which are the central districts of Adana, were selected as the research area. Between September 2021 and April 2022, a total of 210 people from the filiation teams working in these four central districts were included in the study. A questionnaire including demographic data, Maslach Burnout Scale and Health Care Worker Quality of Life Scale was applied to health workers included in the study. Analyzes were evaluated in SPSS 22 package program. Chi-square analysis, student t test, Mann Whitney U-test, One Way ANOVA analysis, Kruskal Wallis test were used to analyze the data. Pearson correlation test was used for those with normal distribution, and Spearman correlation test was used for those who did not show normal distribution. Linear regression analysis was performed to determine the predictor of the dependent variable. Results: 210 participants with a mean age of 39.8±9.1 years were included in the study. 73.8% of health workers are women and 26.2% are men. In terms of quality of life among occupational groups, it was observed that the quality of life of physicians was significantly lower than that of dentists and allied health personnel. It was determined that the depersonalization sub-dimension score of men was significantly higher than that of women. The depersonalization sub-dimension score of those with children was lower than those without, and the personal achievement score was higher. Considering the educational status, a significant difference was found in terms of emotional exhaustion. It was determined that this difference was caused by the difference between the high school and below group and the graduate/doctorate group. When the occupational groups were examined, it was seen that the depersonalization sub-dimension score of physicians and dentists was significantly higher. Considering the personal achievement sub-dimension score, the score of the assistant health personnel was found to be significantly higher than the physicians. Emotional exhaustion and depersonalization scores of those with low monthly income were found to be significantly higher than those with medium and high income. The anxiety scale score of those who stayed outside of their own home in filiation was found to be significantly higher than the score of those who did not. Considering the state of being satisfied with their working hours, the anxiety scores of the dissatisfied were found to be significantly higher than those of the satisfied ones. The emotional exhaustion and depersonalization scores of those who stayed outside of their own home in filiation were significantly higher than the scores of those who did not; personal achievement score was found to be significantly lower. The emotional exhaustion and depersonalization scores of the swabs were found to be significantly higher than the scores of those who did not. Conclusion: It has been observed that the level of burnout of healthcare workers increased during the pandemic period compared to the pre-pandemic period. It was observed that the burnout level of physicians was higher than other occupational groups. Similarly, it was observed that the quality of life of physicians was lower than other occupational groups. It was observed that the burnout levels of those who were outside their own home during the filiation process were higher than those who did not stay outside their own home during this process. It was observed that the health workers who were assigned to take swab had higher burnout levels while working in the filiation compared to those who did not take swab.
