Abstract (EN)

This new disease, which emerged in an animal market in Wuhan, China in 2019, was named COVID-19 when it emerged in 2019. This new pandemic has caused a change not only in socialization activities, but also in consumption habits, along with the basic habits of people. After the statement that the disease is transmitted by respiratory tract in crowded environments, restrictions were put in order to minimize social contact. These restrictions also accelerated digital – next generation – platforms. Digital shopping platforms provide online shopping opportunities such as smart mobile, computer, physical store. In this study, we examine the impact of these platforms on the habits of consumers in Izmir before and after the pandemic. In the results, the detection of habit change on consumers aims to determine how the demographic ratio of the platform used has changed. It also analyzes the difference between motivational factors such as the time consumers spend on the shopping platform and the frequency of shopping.
