Abstract (EN)

INVESTIGATION EFFECTS OF FIBRES VOLUME RATIOS TOMECHANICS PROPERTIES OF CTPMehmet TURHANSUMMARYKey Words: glassfiber reinforcet plastics, composites, fiber volum ratio. The glass fiber reinforced polyesters (GRP) is first modern polymer based compositematerial used mast commanly nowadays. These composites mainly consist of glassfiber(continuous or not) dispersied into matrix used as a mould. The glass fibers, which arereinforcement materials, improve the mechanical properties, however, the matrixprevents the formation of cleovages during deformation and dept together thereinforcement elements. Assent from this, the mast important factor assigned to themechanical properties of GRP metarials is the reinforcement component. Thepropertion in the material and mechanical properties of glassfiber control themechanical properties. The aim this study is to investigate the influence of the different propertions ofglassfiber used on the mechanical properties of the material in the glassfiber reinforcedplastic based composite maaterials.GRP materials used in the experiments one thematerials produced by pultruzyon method. These materials were supplied from `EsaChemical Metal?. The values related to the characteristies such as the properties of,fiber, mat and matrix in the sample, layer thickness and the properties of fiber and resinin the material were supplied from Esa Chemical metal and were used to in calculations. The total 90 experiments were performed too 9 materials with the different volumeratios of the fiber. The pulling test was applied to the samples containing the glassfiberof various propertios. Therefee, the elasticity modülüs, which means the resistance ofthe meterial towards to shape elasticity, or the rigidity, and the poisson ratio, that is thepropertien the lateral shape to the axis shape, was found, and the obfained valves wasconverted to the tables and the graphics. At the next step, theoretical calculsatiens wasdone by taking accant account of vales suplied from Esa Chemical Metal, and thes theelasticity modulus and poisson ratio were fount. The volves of elasticity modulus andpoisson ratios were realited separaty and compared the results with respec to the chagesof volum ratios of glassfiber. Firslly, experimental calculations were comparaed andcontrolled consistency of the rerul.
