The position and importance of T.C. Ziraat Bank on the development of chicken farming (poultry culture raising) in the Cukurova region

In this study, the use of agricultural credits in the region of Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, and Hatay from the sources of T.C. Ziraat Bank is examined. Within these credits, the share of livestock production and winged sector are considered. In this context, the specifications, guidelines, subsidy rates and the amounts of credits used by producers in Çukurova is introduced. The support and advantages obtained to the producers by Ziraat Bank during the process of credit use, and the preferences of farmers about the scope and amount of credits is explored. So that, the use of agricultural credit use is discussed with the authorized branches and the credits used by them is analyzed. In addition, the bio-security circumstances applied to the credits in the winged sector and the agricultural credits used to producers about this subject is displayed.Consequently, it is discovered that the agricultural credits that are used to producers by Ziraat Bank and especiallay the ones related with livestock and winged sectors has been increasing during the years. Hovewer, this growth is not the same for the credits as part of bio-security in the winged sector, in case, the credits based on bio-security is still at low amounts.
