Abstract (EN)
In this study resistance levels of eggs and female adults of citrus red mite Panonychus citri McGregor (Acari: Tetranychidae) were determined against spirodiclofen, dicofol, tetradifon and fenbutatin oxide which are commonly used acaricides in Çukurova Region. Bioassay tests were conducted with totally 5 different populations of P. citri. Four populations were collected from commercial citrus orchards (B1, B2, B3 and B4) where acaricide-insecticide intensively applied by growers to supress mite population. One susceptible population (H) was collected from pesticides free areas in city center of Adana province to be used as a control in the experiments. Samples were collected in 2010 autumn and 2011 spring seasons. In the bioassay tests with autumn populations of adult females of P. citri, the highest resistant ratios were determined as 64.8, 157.7, 61.7 and 99.1 for B2, B4, B1 and B1 populations against spirodiclofen, dicofol, tetradifon and fenbutatin oxide, respectively. In spring populations of adult females, the highest resistant ratios were 70.3, 159.6, 111.9 and 212.3 for B2, B4, B4 and B3 populations, respectively. In the eggs of spring populations, the highest resistant ratios were found to be 19, 38.9, 7.5 and 7.9 for B2, B4, B4 and B3 populations, in the same acaricides order given above, respectively.Accordingly, B1, B2, B3 and B4 populations were found more resistant than the H population to the four acaricides used in the experiments. Results of this study indicated that acaricides used to control P. citri should be monitored regularly to determine citrus red mite resistance levels for successful mite management.
