This study conducted to determine intercropping sunflower and cowpea inÇukurova region was arranged in randomized blocks design with four replications atthe Yüre ir Plate Do ankent Village during the 2003 and 2004 growing seasons.As a result, Intercropping growing systems caused significiant differences onforage yield, dry forage yield, total forage yield, total dry forage yield, protein yieldand land equivalent ratio (LER) which is a mesaurement of effectiveness of landusing, of sunflower and cowpea.Plant hight, number of node, leaves ratio, stem ratio, head ratio and proteinratio, of sunflower and leaves ratio, stem ratio, pod ratio, protein ratio of cowpeawere found no significiant differences among the intercropping sunflower andcowpea.Key Words: Sunflower, cowpea, intercropping, forage yield, dry forage yield,II
