Özet (EN)

Chickpea is the most cultivated pulses after dry beans in the world. The aim of present study was to determine the some important agronomical and morphological characteristics of 12 winter chickpea cultivars under Çukurova conditions. The research was arranged in randomized blocks experiment design with 3 replications in University of Çukurova, Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crop Department in mid November of 2021/2022 growing year. In present study, emergence duration, flowering duration, maturity duration, plant height, first pod height, number of main branch per plant, number of pods per plant, number of grain per plant, 100-grain weight, grain weight per plant, harvest index, grain yield in chickpea cultivars were investigated. Also, anthracnose observation was made in the cultivars. At the result of study, differences among the cultivars for investigated traits of the cultivars except for emergence duration were found to be statistically significant. In this research conditions, the lowest grain yield was found in Botan with 184 kg/da while the highest grain yield was obtained from Cevdetbey98 with 259.9 kg/da, Cevdetbey98, Aksu, Ilgaz, Aslanbey and Arda which are tolerant to anthracnose and highly yielding and suitable to machine harvesting were found to be as promising winter chickpea cultivars in Çukurova region.
