Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted at the experimental area of Cukurova University, Agriculture Faculty, Field Crops Department, from December, 2014 to July, 2015. Field trials were arranged in randomized block design of split-plot with three replications, turf mixtures as main plot and cuttings as sub-plot. Ten ready mixtures provided by local retailers were evaluated in terms of ground cover ratios, vegetation height, turf quality, turf color, coverage, texture, green and dry herbage yield. Sport Atletic 4 Mix (%80 Festuca arundinacea Schreb., %10 Lolium Perenne L., %10 Poa pratensis L.) was better in terms of coverage and ground cover ratios; Elegance 3M (%40 Lolium perenne L., %45 Festuca rubra subsp. L. rubra, %15 Poa pratensis L.) gave higher values than other mixtures for plant canopy height, green and dry herbage yield; Sirena 4 Mix (%20 Lolium perenne L., %20 Festuca rubra subsp. L. rubra, %30 Festuca arundinacea Schreb., %30 Cynodon dactylon L.) was better for quality and color points.
