Abstract (EN)
Coriander, is a plant belonging to the Umbelliferae family and has been grown as a spice in medicine, treatment and food industry for centuries. It is important to determine the most suitable planting time of coriander, which is a cool climate plant. This study was conducted in three replications according to the split plot experimental design in Çukurova University Research and Application Area in the growing seasons of 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, and different populations (Mardin and Iraq) and sowing times (1 November, 15 November, 1 March, 15 March) were determined. It was aimed to examine the effect of coriander on seed yield and quality. Depending on the climatic conditions, higher seed yields (297.3 kg/da) were obtained in the 2021-2022 growing season. The highest seed yields (265.6-338.2 kg/da) were obtained on 1 November and 15 November sowing times, respectively. There was no difference between the average seed yield (191.7-192.0 kg/da) and oil ratios (9.7-9.8%, respectively) of the Mardin and Iraq populations.
