Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out at during 2020 growing season to investigate the effects of different organomineral fertilization doses on forage yield and quality properties of second crop silage maize, according to the randomized complete split-plot design (cultivars as main-plot, fertilizer doses as sub-plot) with three replications under Cukurova conditions. In the study, a total of 7 different fertilizer applications were used, in two silage maize cultivars (Inove and Kilowatt) including the control (0 kg/da N), the recommended inorganic fertilizer dose (30 kg/da) and 5 different organomineral fertilizer doses (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 kg/da). Inorganic fertilizer application exhibited the highest dry matter yield (1321 kg/da) followed by 30 kg/da (1310 kg/da), 20 kg/da (1219 kg/da), 25 kg/da (1216 kg/da) ve 15 kg/da (1201 kg/da) organomineral fertilizer doses with slight differences in the study. Inorganic fertilizer application provided also the highest crude protein content (% 6.75) followed by 25 kg/da (% 6.46) ve 30 kg/da (% 6.34) organomineral fertilizer doses with slight differences. On the other hand, there was significant difference between fertilizer applications in terms of ADF, NDF, and RFV values. In terms of forage yield and quality parameters examined in the research, there was no significant difference between inorganic fertilizer application and 30 and 25 kg/da organomineral fertilizer applications, which showed that these organomineral fertilizers application may be used successfully in silage maize cultivation in order to both minimize environmental problems caused by inorganic fertilizers and reduce production cost.
