Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different fertilizer doses and sowing times on yield and yield components of oily sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) in dry land area in Çukurova region. The sowing times were arranged such as 25 March, 8 April, 24 April and 9 May, and four fertilizer doses such as 0, 10, 15 and 20 kg/da 20.20.0 compose fertilizer. This study was conducted in Dutluca village in Sarıcam-Adana in 2019 and P64LC108 sunflower variety was used as a plant material. In this research; germination and flowering duration, growing period, plant height, head diameter, shelling percentage, oil and protein percentage, hectoliter weight, seed and oil yield per decar characteristics were investigated. According to result, the effect of sowing time application on investigated characteristics except seed rate was found to be statistically significant. The plant height, shelling percentage, protein content, hectoliter weight, seed and oil yield values were increased and the data belonging to others characteristics were decreased when the sowing times delayed. The plant height, head diameter, oil content, seed yield and oil yield values were increased when the fertilizer application rate increased. The highest seed yield (462.2 kg/da) was obtained in 15 kg/da fertilizer (20.20.0) applied plots in 24 April sowing time.
