Abstract (EN)
To increase the quality of primary healthcare system and patient satisfaction.which is important indicator of that; also to reform better follow-ups; there must be agood medical record system.In this study. our aim was to define the primary care patient profile by collectingdata from the files of total 885 patients who applied for the first time to the familymedicine outpatient clinic of Çukurova University in randomly selected 4 months of1999; each of which is selected from periods of 3 months.All data was conveyed in electronic form by 'Uysal WebPatient 1.0' program andFor each file; names and family names of the patients were conveyed to check repeateddata; after that. complaints and diagnoses recorded in files are encoded according to theICD-10. The average ages of the patients included in the study were 24.5±20.3 yearsand 69.5 % of the patients were female.It has been defined that the most common complaints of the patients is Cough.Fever. General Examination and Investigation; and first three diagnosis in all referenceswere Hypertension. Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and Urinary TractInfection. 76.1% of the references were made by 0-39 age group of patients; mostly by0-9 age group (33.3%).In conclusion; to rise the quality in primary health care system. retrospectivestudies should be done and the patient profile also should be revised. periodically.Key Words: Family Medicine.
