A thematic analysis upon the poems of Cumali Ünaldı Hasannebioğlu

Cumali Ünaldı Hasannebioğlu (1949) took place in the history of Turkish Literature as one of the representatives of Turkish Poetry after the 1980s. In addition to five separate poetry books, there is a selection book of selected poems and a collection of poems consisting of all of his works. Since he is not only a poet but also a bureaucrat and senior agricultural engineer, he wrote a book about agriculture politics also. As one of the representatives of Modern Turkish Poetry, he strongly maintained his connection with tradition in terms of content and form. Throughout his texts, tradition has influenced the present and the future with its founding aspect rather than being a memory element. This study, based on Hasannebioğlu's poetry books, is aimed to determine the theme values in his poems and to analyze them in terms of structure and style. Focusing on the gaps between the past, the present, and the future, the poet has founded the deep structure of his text through this focus. The poet, who is strictly connected to the verse forms of divan and folk literature, has given examples of the concept of transition rather than rupture in his modern poetry representations. The study consists of three main sections. In the first part which aims to lighten the life, art, and works of Hasannebioğlu, the poet's private and literary life is mentioned and the interview with the poet is based. This section, which is approached with a chronological method, is aimed to determine the main lines of the poet's universe of poetry and the relationship with his biography. This section consists of the titles "His Life" and "Literary Life".The second section of the study, it is aimed to determine the thematic value elements in the poet's universe of poetry. This section, in which the poet's frequently worked theme values are determined, consists of the titles "Death", "Childhood", "Loneliness", "Love", City and Country" and "Poetry and Poet". In the section titled "Language and Style" of his poems, which is the third and last part of the study, it is aimed to determine the verse units and forms, which are the founding elements of the poet's poetry universe, and to analyze the morphological features. This section, which focuses on the concrete elements of the poetry universe, includes "Language", "Vocabulary World", "Spelling Deviations", "Sound Deviations", "Word Deviations", "Grammar Deviations", "Types of Style", "Spelling Unit and Form", In the conclusion of the thesis, a general evaluation was made of the thematic values that make up the poetry universe of Cumali Ünaldı Hasannebioğlu and the analysis of his poems in terms of structure and his work was concluded.
