The effect of the Presidency System (presidency) on the existing Turkish political system

The dynamic nature of man and his unlimited needs are the basic essence of the dynamic of change of politics. Sociology, institutions and government systems are constantly transformation in the process depending on this change. The Turkish political life has experienced this change deeply, and the government system that started with the absolute monarchy, has evolved to live a new phenomenon with the Presidential System at the end of the process that started with the constitutional monarchy and continued with parliamentary system and with strengthening of executive power. In this thesis, the effects of the Presidential System on the Turkish Political System, especially the parliamentary system of about a hundred and forty years, were discussed; and the social and political transformation of Turkey was observed. In this context, the parliamentary system, in essence, was examined in the historical process of the Turkish Parliamentary System. The breaks of the system and its political folds were determined and made debatable and comparable. Also, the presidential system, its history, the application of the US Presidency System and the basic principles were discussed and discussed at the level of comparison with the Presidency System. In literature research, it has been seemed that starting from the definition of the Presidential Government System, there is no patent of the Government Systems, and therefore it's stated that the Presidential Government System was built with a unique design and a national mind. The formation of the fundamental powers of the system established by the national mind was also fostered in the context of the Turkish political tradition and culture, and the Presidential Government System gained political literature. The effects of the presidential system on the Turkish political system were analysed in terms of fundamental rights and freedoms, democracy, stable, strong government, economic development, parliamentary transformation of legislative efficiency and social reconciliation –which are macro policies- by affecting the existing system. It is also stated that the Presidential Government System will lead to solidification, double legitimacy, personalization of power, and total-zero play, with the winner taking everything and losing everything in a loss.
