Ömür KOÇ THE WORK OF LYRIC ABSTRACTION INREPUBLIC PERIOD OF TIME IN TURKISH PAINTING When the Lyric Abstractionizm, developed in 1947 by being parallel to American Abstract Expressionizm, first seen in Paris had created great excitement. This style, had reached to the other European countries and new trials had been experienced through Lyric Abstractionism in Germany and Italy, too. The creation of this style had been originated from Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, and Picasso's Syntetic Qubism and the haughts and works of Surrealists. Whele these developments on Lyric Abstractionism style had occured in western countries; it had taken place in Turkish paint without this natural process, Because the existance of this artistic style in the west had depended on the femine, depression and melancoly phases of the end of the II. world war. Turkish painting art which had opened its windows through the west with the foundations of the Republic was hawing a fast progress with the turning back of Same artists especially sent to France and Germany for education before. The social conscience developed after 1950 s and the race of the international culture and art had influanced our countriy's artists and forced them to focus on the freedom and newness terms along with their own personalties Our painting artists making pictures with the style of Lyric Abstractionism in the Turkish picture had prefered the descriptive language of colorist and toushist style as the telling style of French artists in France many Turkish painters, especially Nejat Melih DEVRİM and Mübin ORHON and painting with the style of Lyric Abstraction, and their works have been the the main structures through the development of modernism.
