Analysis of children's and young period novels in Republican Turkish literature according to theory of narrative I

A human child between the ages of 0-18 is defined as a child. All qualified texts that are suitable for children's life experiences, interests, needs, development and perception levels constitute children's literature. The idea that children's literature should be a field to be admired has guided the study in this field. The narrative based on experience, which was determined as a criterion, centers on life. Since it is one of the text types where experience is intensively handled, the study was limited to the novel genre. In the study, some children's novels written for children or considered suitable for children in Turkish children's literature were selected by paying attention to their representative ability in terms of period, thought, author and novel genre. The selected novels were evaluated by accepting the following items as criteria: Narration is Not Naming, Reality-Experience, Mediation, Freedom, Definition, Trust, Generalization, Advice-Counseling, Instrumentalization of Art. It is possible to say that these items determined as criteria express the principles of narrative based on experience. Since the addressees are children, the texts need to be written with special care in the context of reality and experience. It is a priority for every text that addresses these individuals, who have not yet completed their mental development and are considered open to all kinds of influences, to keep this attention and care in the foreground. It is seen that this priority is not taken into account in the works included in the study and that the narrative based on experience is not adopted in the texts.
