Özet (EN)

Painting, one of the oldest branches of art, has always attracted the attention of literature, whose foundations are as old as it is. It is a well-known fact that writers utilise different disciplines with the desire to expand the thematic universe. However, literature and painting are the art forms that interact the most at the initial level. Writers' approaches to painting and the way they deal with it gradually diversify the relationship between literature and painting. A literary work is not a simple object. It is a complex organisation brought together by a multitude of meanings and relationships. In this respect, it can even be said that literature is the most sophisticated human activity. The relationship with painting is one of the most important layers of meaning created by literature. The authors we have analysed in our study have also made extensive use of the art of painting in their works in order to understand themselves and what is going on around them and to describe them in a more realistic and striking way. In some works, painting appears as the effect of a painting on the protagonist, while in some works the protagonist becomes the painter himself. Sometimes authors use traditional genres such as engravings, portraits, illumination, miniature, which are considered within the art of painting, to revive cultural memory, etc. Accordingly, this study will try to determine the relationship between the novel of the Republican Era and painting through novels with high representativeness selected from various periods in which the art of painting is used effectively.
