This is the investigation of the women play writers' approches to the women character, in the play text about woman, in the rebuclic period of Turkish theatre

In thisstudy, it was determined to find the view of ?women? play writerswho had given some product to the Turkish Theatre until today from the establishment ofRepublic,how they looked at the ?woman? subject in their plays by meons of ?women?characters.In the first part of the study, it was studied on the position of the Turkishwoman and this subject was researched from the point of view of socially at the beginning ofbefore the acceptance of the İslamic period.In the second part of the study, it is researched that theatre known like a kindof art, which takes its source from human and gives to human, is influenced or not from thewoman problem atic.The following methods were followed while producing this study; In thefirst step, it is studied on ?the Administrative Reforms? and ?the Constitutional Monarchy?Theatre which were formed the ground work fort he Turkish Theatre in the Republic Period.In the second step, it was studied on the giving some historical and thearetical knowledgeabout the Republic Theatre which is seperated terms according to yers. After givingknowledges which introduces about the plays about ?woman subject? which had played orpublished had been studied to determine.In the third part of the study includes the dramaturgical study on thedetermined thirty-two plays about ?women subject? according to the point of view of thewomen character.Key Words: The Turkish Theatre of the Republic Period, Women Play Writers, The PlaysAbout Woman, Woman, Dramaturgy.
