It?s thought that Old Ankara established by Frigians at B.C. VIII century andplaced in Ankara Castle built for protection purposes. Ankara has extendedaround Ankara Castle as a centre, during her history. Nowadays, Ankara Castle isone of the main articles of the capitol city of modern Republic of Turkey.Ankara Castle which includes all economical actions as a housing centre,was always host for traditional hand arts characteristic for Ankara, all ages inhistory.Modernization and industrialization movements which have startedtogether with the declaration of Turkish Republic and her capitol city Ankara, haveeffected to hand arts which were procured in Ankara Castle by purely handmadeand traditional techniques. Most of those hand arts have disappeared from theeconomic life so as not to adapt themselves to fast evolution, and very few ofthem were being existence so far.Today, some of the traditional hand arts such as peak of minaret making,coppersmith, cutler?s working, sieve-making, tinsmith, hatter working, box-makingand basket-making were being occurred by old master workmen for providingtourist articles instead of daily requirements.Key Words : Ankara, Ankara Castle, Traditional Hand arts, Work of Peak ofMinaret, Coppersmith, Cooper Processing, Blacksmith, Tinsmith, Work of Hatter,Box-maker, Basket-maker, Rope-maker
