Newly established that the effect of the destruction of war left the country's primary objective was to eliminate the Republic of Turkey as soon as possible. İmportant developments have been made in the areas of public works, education, health, public order, agriculture-animal husbandry and mining, especially for the development of the country devastated by wars. In the Republican period, as in the case of the country as a whole, in Gaziantep, Urfa and Mardin, public expenditures were given importance and a development pace was initiated. Between 1923 and 1950, the Republican governments carried out the work to be done in Gaziantep, Urfa and Mardin, which is the land border with Syria, within a program. The republican governments have made considerable efforts in spite of the inadequacy of the budget. It is aimed to develop and improve Gaziantep, Urfa and Mardin with the intensive work that the governments use for the region.
