The first vineyard and viticulture in the republic of İzmir

In this thesis, The First Vineyard and Viticulture İn The Republıc of İzmir. In the period of Ottoman State, it was investigated that how the war's affect the grape production in İzmir. At the end of the national struggle, Turkey Economic Congress, reflected the effects of agricultural economics. Also assembly programs and Atatürk's economic policies, changed the views of the vineyards.After liberating the Greek invasion, the abandoned vineyards and the prices of grapes were determined. On the other hand, Turkish-Greek population exchange and agriculture economi were analyzed, İzmir fire and the problem of exporting the grapes were observed. However trade of İzmir and timber issue was addressed at the last part of the thesis. In conclusion; in the early years of Republic of Turkey, İzmir vineyards and viticulture of İzmir were researched thoroughly.
