The reflection of Yunus Emre perception on Turkish music from the republic to the present

The aim of this study is to examine the perception of Yunus Emre in Turkish music from the Republic to the present; To reveal how it is reflected in Turkish Classical Music, Turkish Folk Music, Contemporary Polyphonic Turkish Music and Current Popular Turkish Music. In this study, which was designed as a case study, one of the case study models used in qualitative research, the tables created as a result of examining the documents were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method. As a result of the research, in the field of Turkish Classical Music and Turkish Folk Music, Yunus Emre appears as the poet of the world of Sufi thought who writes poems with divine love. In the field of Contemporary Polyphonic Turkish Music, Yunus Emre was among the founding figures of national identity, his hymns met with polyphonic music, and his poems were composed with western musical forms such as oratorio. As for the perception of Yunus Emre that emerged in Current Popular Turkish Music, it has been determined that everyone from arabesque music to Anatolian pop-rock, from protest music to rap music, has composed compositions based on Yunus Emre's poems. It has been concluded that Yunus Emre was an inspiration to many composers with different political stances in Turkish music and that compositions were made based on Yunus Emre's poems in many genres of Turkish music.
