Abstract (EN)
Numbers of erythrocytes and the levels of hematocrite, gucose, cortisol, AST ALT and electrolytes were determined in C.carpio and C.gariepinus sampled from two cultivation stations having different water sources in Silifke and Karataş. Erithrocyte numbers and hematocrite levels were determined by Thoma glass and hematocrite centrifuge respectively. All other blood parameters were determined using an autoanalyzer. Blood parameters determined were higher in Karataş station compared with the Silifke station and were higher in C.carpio than in C.gariepinus. Variations in the blood parameters between the stations and the species might be due to the differences in water quality at two sampling stations and/or between the tolerance of two species to environmental variables.
