Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to develop and apply the rockfall hazard classification system in the road cuts on the Antalya-Muğla highway between Sarısu Kemer. For this purpose, the rockfall hazard classification applied and planned to be developed is the system applied in the US state of Tennessee. In this study, "Tennessee Rockfall Hazard Classification System", which numerically classifies various parameters (slope height, vehicle risk average, trench activity, block detection distance, road width, rockfall history, presence of water on the slope) depending on the road geometry and traffic conditions, according to their hazard degrees. (RHRS)" is intended to be used. In the geological evaluations section of this system, firstly, slope failure types (planar, wedge, overturning, differential weathering, and debris) are determined. Then, the parameters of the determined slope failure types such as density, block size, steepness, friction are scored according to the percentage of their presence in the study area. It is thought as the lack of the system that the scoring of these parameters can vary from person to person. For this reason, it is aimed to develop the system by using the method called "GSI Rock Mass Classification System (Geological Strength Index)" instead of the geological characterization section of the "Rockfall Hazard Classification System". Thus, a system that is based only on numerical calculations and numerically classifies the properties of rock masses will be used, and interpretations that may vary from person to person will be eliminated. As a result of the field studies carried out in Sarısu-Kemer location of Antalya-Muğla highway within the scope of the thesis, 1 B-class slope and 7 A-class slopes were determined and detailed classification studies of A-class slopes were made and the site and road geometry of the slopes above 200 points, In addition, it was seen that they formed the most dangerous slopes by getting higher scores than the others in terms of rock quality indicator.
