Ergonomical research of the properties used in design and clothing fabric in mountain sports

ABSTRACTBecause of the desire to discover new things of science, technology continuously has forced him self to renew. Structures that can not adapt, have to loose their continuity. Therefore, the data consistently need to be updated. In line with the developments in the technology , design and the fabric?s self-renewal have opened new horizons in many areas. For example, change in production process and material development caused to be able to make research such as at the top of the mountain , in the depths of the ocean.The aim of the research is to determine the design and the fabric of the clothing in mountain sports are compatible to the body and to emphasize the need of clothing more comfortable and healthy. The characteristics of the design and the fabric are determined and a questionnaire was prepared to identify the opinions of the users about the properties of the mountain clothing . Questionnaireform was filled by the commercial firms that make business of mountain clothing , mountain clubs, members of AKUT and the end-users (N=120)Research results are based on the opinions of the people who sells and uses theproducts.The result of the research findings are presented below.The people who use the mountain clothing , have knowledge of the structure of the fabric and design features . They can also determine the facts that they are satisfied or not satisfied.Findings , by the sales team who uses and knows the technical details of the products, shows that the physical structure of the fabrics are functional and provide the desired performance except the filet used as undercoat . The filet?s , used as undercoat, performance is not satisfying when compared to the membrane fabric.Design features of clothing satisfies the people. People prefer useful and ergonomic clothing instead of fashion clothing. The ergonomic structure are defined as adequate in some areas but not for all clothing.In light of these findings, recommendations for future research are presented with the aim to offer more comfortable clothing with the change of fabric and design.Keywords: Mountain Sports, Clothing, Fabric Features, Design Features, Ergonomics
