Studies were accomplished over a farm in Zagarlı village,Yuregir town of Adana, where plants have 3x7m space in between within 364 da ofarea, which were 6 years old.The sampled roots which reflect the general characteristics of field werechosen from 4 different places and 4 depths by randomizing from lateral and non-lateral lines. The results indicate that the root density decreases with increasing depthand increasing distance from tree bodies. Furthermore the root distribution on thelateral line is observed to be more uniform and ample than the non-lateral lines.Key World: Root distribution, orchard, planting on bedII
