Foreing policy of Danismend segniority

After Malazgirt Battle, one of the segniorities founded in anatolia was Danişmend Segniority, Alparslan encouraged his famous commanders who took part in the battle by saying "The conquered land is the property of the ones who conquered it." For the conquest of Anatolia, for this purpose, Danişmend Ghazi come to Anatolia and in 1071 he founded the segniority by conquering Middle Anatolia. In a very short time, the segniority almost became a state. Along with Danişmend Segniorty, there were a lot of segniorities in Anatolian territories. These were Saltuks, Artuqids,Mengüceks; shortly the other Turkısh segniorities, Byzantine in the east and Antioch Princeps in the South are the examples of some of them. In this territory, the close contact between Byzantine and the neighbour segniorities was inevitable. The mentality of " the country is the common property of the dynasty." Which ariginated centuries ago, can be seen in Danişmend Segniority, too. Because the grandsons of Danişmend Ghazi-abiding by this mentality-not only avoided expanding frontiers, but also never gave up the struggle for the throne. We, also see that Danişmend Segniority, which was under the suzerainty of Turkısh Seljuk Empire, changed the balances in time by expanding its frontiers during the reing of Emir Ghazi and Melik Muhammed. Notably, Turkısh seigneurs established relationships by means of marriages. With these marriages, they both got the control of one another at domestic affairs and also allied with each other. The most important one of these alliences was the one against the Crusaders. Even when there was disunity between other Turkısh seigneurs and Danişmend seigneurs, they overcame it by taking joint action against the enemy. Danişmend Segniority was of great importance in terms of Turkization and İslamisation of Anatolia. While preparing our study, we have tried to explain the relationships of this segniority with other Turkısh Segniorities and non-muslim states by applying the sources of the term and the second hand ones.
