Abstract (EN)
In recent years, after the showing phenomenological and etiological similarities with substance use addictions and behavioral addictions, they have yielded attention with the notice that gambling disorder as an behavioral addiction, Behavioral addictions could have economic, social, psychological, and even physiological negative outcomes, and despite negative outcomes, these behaviors continue. Also, it is suggested that studying the process of addiction without neuro-chemical effects could contribute significant insights into the nature of addiction. The objective of this study is to investigate excessive gambling, online buying, and technology using based on the I-PACE Model. I-PACE Model introduce that behavioral addictions develop and maintain through the interaction of personal traits, affective and cognitive processes, and executive functions. For the predisposition component, impulsivity and psychological symptoms were included, cognitive emotion regulation was included for the affective and cognitive component, and attention, planning, and emotion recognition variables were included for executive functions. The study consisted of 63 participants and run scale and performance-based tests. In the study, there were no relationship between executive functions and behavioral addictions. There was a relationship between cognitive emotion regulation strategies, impulsivity, and psychological symptom sub-dimensions. The sample size is a limiting aspect of the study. Consequently, it was concluded that addressing anxiety could be helpful in the treatment of behavioral addictions.
