Abstract (EN)
In the economic world, the expectations of investors and investment institutions produce different results. When viewed in the context of consumers, individuals with positive expectations for the future increase their investments more, while those who are pessimistic refrain from investing. The study mainly consists of the definition of behavioral finance, the concept of financial literacy, the examination of investor behaviors and, in the last section, the determination of the effects of behavioral finance on investors in the context of bank employees. While making this determination, SPSS program was used. This application covers the spring semester of 2021. The purpose of choosing the sample of bank employees as investors was to ensure that the result of the study would be more positive and to show the deviations from rationality by emphasizing the human factors, even though the bankers had high knowledge, advanced financial literacy and easy access to data. In this study, determining the effects of changes in consumer confidence indices on investments in the context of behavioral finance, determining the opinions of bankers working in Istanbul on behavioral finance and the effect of financial literacy levels on this are examined. For this purpose, these determinations were tried to be made by making use of the behavioral finance scale by applying a survey on a total of 200 bankers in Istanbul. In addition, Cronbach's internal consistency coefficient was used to determine how reliable the behavioral finance scale used in the study was. The results of the analysis revealed that the Cronbach internal consistency coefficient was 0.70. This result indicates that the results obtained in the study are reliable. On the other hand, as a result of the research, it was determined that the participants agreed with the opinions on behavioral finance at the level of 3.31. In the analysis of the data obtained in the study, Independent Sample T-Test and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test were used. However, the Games-Howell test, one of the Post Hoc tests, was used to determine which of the groups discussed in the study was the source of the difference. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was a significant difference between the participants' views on behavioral finance and the variables of "gender, number of children, number of people living in the same house"; It was observed that there was no significant difference between the variables of "marital status, education level, work experience, age".
