Abstract (EN)
6306 Risk Assessment Regulations was published in 15.12.2012 in the official gazette with reference number of 28498 and also Turkish Earthquake Code was published in 06/03/2007 in the official gazette with reference number of 26454. Evaluation and strengthening (retrofitting) criteria of the existing structures were added to this new regulation as Chapter 7. Earthquake performance of a education building, which is named Mersin Yenişehir Namık Kemal Elementary School Building, is considered according to the results are determined as DBYBHY 2007 and 6306 RYTY. According to DBYBHY 2007 strengthening project has been prepared.
