An example of hospital nurses on the effect of change management strategies

This research is done to find out the responses of the nurses and the responsible nurses to the alterations that have come out as a result of the declaration of the regulations on nursing, to observe the attitudes of the nurses against alterations on management styles and to learn about what is understood about organizational devotion..The research has been conducted in a training and research hospital within the city of İmir. Data was applied by the researcher after getting the official authorization between the dates of 3.10.2011-23.12.2011.The universe of the research includes 794 nurses and 33 responsible nurses who work at the training and research hospital. The survey has been appied to 130 nurses and 33 responsible nurses working on day and night shifts in all departments of the hospital at random.The data gathering tools used in the research are information forms and attitude scala. Information form consists of 13 questions that are prepared by the researcher considering the aim of the researchThe statistical analysis of the datum is accomplished using SPSS 15.0, the Windows package program at a 95% of reliability. Parameters are summarized with tables. Independent Sample t Test, One Way Anova (advanced analysis Bonferroni) analysis have been used to find out the differences between the avarage points of the surveys. Statistically, p<0,05 is accepted as meaningful, p>0,05 is accepted as pointless.To test the internal consistency of the scala, Cronbach?s Alpha coefficient was used. The Cronbach?s Alpha value was found to be 0,91 for the whole scala. 0,84 as the Cronbach?s Alpha value on Organizational Policy on Changes, 0,79 as the Resistance Against Changes Cronbach?s Alpha value, 0,80 as the Results of the Change value was observed.Finally; the points of the responsible nurses on organizational policy on change, resistance to change, results of the change sub-dimensions and total scala were observed as high meaningful. And it is observed, that the survey applied nurses think that the regulations are effective on the acceptance of nursing as a profession, and that the ones who have read about the regulations accept the changing much more easily.Keywords: Change Management, Nursing, Nursing Law, Resistance To Change
