Determination of the fauna of Trombidioidea and Erythraeoidea mites (Acari) in Demirpinar Stream basin (Üzümlü / Erzincan) and its surrounding

In this study; velvet mites (Trombidioidea and Erythraeoidea) collected from Demirpınar basin and its surroundings within the borders of Üzümlü district were evaluated. With this aim; A total of 22 visits were made to the land covering the years 2020-2022, covering the months of May-November, and samples were taken from different localities. The mites found in the soil were removed with Berlese funnels in the laboratory. A total of 23 species, 15 trombidioid species and 8 erythraeoid species, were collected from the Demirpınar basin. Among these species, Parathrombium klugkisti (Oudemans, 1917) is a new record for the fauna of Turkey and for the other species in the study area.
