Abstract (EN)
It is possible to have good people and good citizen profile which is the main target of Turkish National Education system who appropriate democracy as a life style and democratic attitudes and behaviours by giving the individuals democracy education. The individuals must live the democracy to assimilate the basic principles. Because democracy is learned by living as it's nature. First democracy education must be started in family and must be continued in schools. In this matter especially primary education school, teachers and directors in this schools have resposibility. In order to make contribution to democracy education in primary education schools, in this research the level of efficiency about democracy education of the directors of primary education was tried to be fived according to the ideas of teachers and the directors. In this research scanning model was used. Sources about the research, laws and regulations were scanned. Two different data collecting forms were used to find aut the ideas of teachers and directors. 172 data collecting forms were given back from 38 directors and 134 teachers which were handed out is 10 schools to 40 directors and 138 teachers. It was 178 data collecting from in total. Data collecting devices were coded one by one and the data was analised by the help of SPSS for Windows (Statistical Package For Social Sciences). In the analyse of the data frequency distribistion, percent and t-test techniques were used. From the discoveries of the research it was found out that the directors see themselven effective in democracy education generally but the teachers see the directors effetive rorely in this subject.
