Özet (EN)

Power of Demokrat Party came face to face with alot of problems about foreign policy in 1950?s that was two opposition pole in the world. The most important problem was Cyprus. From the begining, Demokrat Party followed on rationalist and common sense foreign policy about Cyprus. Sensebility of Turkish public opinion about Cyprus had the most important role. During the period of government of Demokrat Party changed its policy of Cyprus because of developments of foreign policy. After 1955, diplomatic struggle of Demokrat Party continued in international platform. From at the end of 1957, Turkey defended ?Division Thesis? in international platform as formal thesis at problem of Cyprus. In 1959, Greece, England (other actors about Cyprus) and Turkey came to an agreement about formula ?Rebuclic of Independent Cyprus?. Zurich and London Agreement was signed and founded Republic of Independent Cyprus. Turkish and Grek community joined it with equal participation. In addition, Guarantor Agreement which was signed by power of Demokrat Party, turkey was guarantor state. According to Guarantor Agreement, Turkey had right of intervention for protecting Turkish community in Cyprus. In 1974, Turkey intervened to Cyprus and stopped to disappear of Turkish community in Cyprus.If today Turkish community in Cyprus live peacefully and comfortable, reason of this is diplomatic struggle of Demokrat Party during ten years and acquired right of guarantor. Purely this perspective, we can say that power of Demokrat Party achieved about policy of Cyprus.Key Words: Democrat Party, Enosis, Cold War, Thesis of Partition, Repuclic of Cyprus
