For a long time, the media or the press of the Democratic Republic of the Congo lived under the domination of the government, first during the colonial period, then under a dictatorial regime, then under a transitional regime. Before, everything was financed by the government so the press had only to please this leader who also watching them with a magnifying glass. So not slippage or you are for the government especially during the era of monopartism, or you are nowhere. There was no other side because there was only one side. And today this press is totally free in theory but in fact. There is pluralism, there is independence of the press, and there is self-financing.Because there is pluralism, the media or the press no longer belongs to the government, the purpose of this work is to find out who are the owners of the press today? And who is funding them today? Research has been conducted to find out the owners of print, radio and television channels in all provinces of the DRC. Research has revealed that there is a predominance of local and international media in the country. And that the ownership of the media is closely related to the politics of the fact that they are more owned by politicians and men affair. Then come the religious denominations, then the community groups and all in the local and private domains which self-finances. And research has again revealed that there is not too much private international business in the media sector and just one public television and one public radio. And it should be noted that there is not a strong monopolization in the media in the DRC, no more than 4 companies that have a horizontal monopolization. And in terms of globalization, if you count only the two television channels that are established in the country, then research shows that globalization is not very strong. But this same research shows us that if there is globalization, it is more because of the television Channels which are captured by satellite subscription, which pushes the local Channels to want to be like foreign international chains.
