A sociologicial view to during the process of democratization of Turkey in the period of republic

The aim of this study, searching for the military strokes, reasons and results for them and the changes of public?s perception about democracy, during the process of democratization of Turkey, in the period of Republic.Although democracy in Turkey has been existed over 80 years, there are stil some questions about progress of democracy in Turkey and the position that we reached now. This is normal that democracy is shaped by culture. Because every cultures live in different geographies and they have different perception of democracy ; history shows it to us. For example it is impossible to compare the period of Nazi and also at that time what has happened in Turkey. If we look at history with that viewpoint Turkey had some events and wars but not that much to be expected. After 40 years of planning how to place the democracy; Turkey passed into the poly-party system in political administiration. Although Turkey lived with the democracy in a very simple and clear way, it paid the subsitional because of the politics? lack of experiences but before that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk had been tried it which also showed it would be hard to do.Eventually Turkey try to live with the democracy which is without education and irrelevant with real democracy. In 1950?s and after 1950?s in Turkey people have been voting for political parties like being fun of footbal team. People have thought democracy is just voting so they have expected something and if they didn?t get it, they lost their belief for democracy. These are because of taking not good education. Now we can see the most politics and parties, that are ossified, just try to have a place in parliamentary not to serve to the public.Key Words: Democracy, Military strokes, Education, Republic.
