Abstract (EN)

Acute pancreatitis has a high morbidty and mortality. Its physiopathogenesis has not been enlightened absolutely. İn acute pancreatitis; interstitiel edema, hemorrhage and lipid necrosis has been developed in pancreas and adjacent tissues with vasculer damage.Trimetazidine is a antiischemic, antioxidant and cardiprotective agent. This study aims to investigate trimetazidines effects on the acute pancreatitis. In this study, three aqual groups are formed with 45 male Wistar-Albino type rats weighed between 180-200 gr. %0.9 NaCl is injected intraperitoneally to the group 1 (n=15). Acute pancreatitis is formed in group 2 ( n=15) and group 3 (n=15) via injection of L-arginin. In group 3(n=15) 30 minutes and 12 hours after formation of acute pancreatitis trimetazidine 5 mg/kg/day in two equal doses injected intraperitoneally. In all groups, the rats have been laparatomised 24 hours later under general anesthesia and pancreas tissues has been extracted and studied histopathologically. Amylase, TNF-alpha, İL-1b, İL-6, LDH, AST and ALT levels also have been looked up in the rats serum.AST, ALT, Amylase, TNF-alpha, İL-1b, İL-6 and histopathologically in the pancreas tissue edema, hemorrhagia, aciner cell necrosis and perivasculer inflamation levels show significant decrease in the treatment group compare to study group (P<0.001).Conclusion, trimetazidine protects pancreas tissue by the via decreasing the biochemiacal and histopathological changes in the early stages of acute pancreatitis.
