Abstract (EN)

In this study, the comparison of the levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, TGF-β and MMP-8 with the periodontal and systemic control (K) group in the experimental periodontitis model and the systemic analysis of these biomarkers. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect on heart tissue. Periodontitis is a disease that degenerates bone integrity by going down to deeper tissues when left untreated due to gingival tissue. Periodontitis has a multifactorial origin. Periodontal disease may affect not only the tissue in which it is located, but also the heart and other organs. In order to fully understand the pathogenesis of the disease, it is necessary to search for the related diseases. 20 Winstar rats were included in the study. The rats were divided into two groups as healthy control group (group 1), one week gum inflammation pre group (group 2) and two week gum inflammation pro group (group 3). Rats were anesthetized with 90 mg / kg Ketosol and 10 mg / kg Xylazine. Periodontitis model was created by attaching 3.0 silk sutures around the lower first molar teeth of the rats in the experimental groups (group 2, group 3). Heart tissues were obtained from rats for sample analysis. Tissues were weighed and homogenization buffer was created with Lysis Buffer buffer and cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, TGF-β and MMP-8 were examined by Elisa method. All cytokine levels were higher in periodontitis rats than in the control group. This study was planned to investigate biomarkers for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
