In this study; in PBT containing and non-containing denim and sportswear fabric constructions, as 3/1 Z twill weave being constant, with different structural parame-ters(comb number, comb width, warp/weft yarn count, warp/weft density), the fabrics produced by applying various finishing processes, it was investigated how affected the physical performance as elasticity, growth, strength, weight, warp/weft shrinkage. The main aim of the thesis study is to determine and compare the effect of PBT on fabric performance in denim and sportswear fabrics which are produced commercially in industrial conditions.It is aimed to improve fabric performance in terms of elasticity and growth (fabric recovery) properties by using PBT in the warp or weft of the fabric. The level of improvement or change of PBT was investigated by comparing essentially groups of fabrics with the same qualities and the same process conditions. The results were evaluated within the scope of ISO 6330, ASTM D 3107, ASTM D 1424, ASTM D 5034, ASTM D 3774, ASTM D 3776 Standards to analyze the performance finished fabric. In the content of study, three component yarn made of modified polyester PBT and elastane with elasticity characteristic in the center and cotton fibers in the outer twisted layer were produced in the ring spinning machine.The physical properties of the final fabric were analyzed by testing PBT blended yarns produced in varied lineer densities on different constructions.It was determined that Cotton/PBT/EA mixed yarn positively affected the growth value of the fabric with reference to Cotton/EA content yarns according to research and statistical data. As a result of all these studies, it was seen that yarns containing con-junction PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and elastane filaments in the core had a positive effect on fabric performance in comparision with only core spun yarn.
