Özet (EN)

Liquefaction is that the elemination of the effective stress between soil grains and behaviour of the heterogeneous water-solid mixture like a fluid. The carrying capacity of sea construction ground decreases under these conditions, which might cause irrecoverable damages at the sea construction. In this study; primarily liquefaction occurrence is emphasized with past examples. For obstructing or minimizing the probability of liquefaction especially with the caused by earthquake impact; applied main sea ground improvement methods are explained, compared and some proposal are given regarding to related sea ground improvement methods.Mainly, there are three sea ground improvement methods. These are mentioned respectively; compaction grouting, jet grouting and cement grouting methods. In this study; the three main sea ground improvement applications are clarified and regarding to Marmaray Immersed Tunnel Project at the Bosphorus and Gölcük Ford-Otosan Port, compaction and jet grouting applications for ground treatment is explained with the details.Additionally, the methods are compared considering with many criteria. Through these comparisons, which method under which condition, has much more satisfactory is clarifiedConsequently, regarding to the application conditions of treatment methods, capabilities, achievements in improvement, comments are shown and various suggestions are emphasized.
