Özet (EN)

Submarines have three main power sources which are nuclear, diesel and electric. While submarines that have diesel and electric power moving on the sea surface, they consume diesel fuel. On the other hand they consume electric power under the sea. Submarine batteries voltage must be observed continuously during moving under the sea. So "Battery monitoring system" was realized. In the first section of the thesis, brief information was given about types of batteries, charge and discharge characteristics of the lead-acid batteries used in the submarines. In the second section, "battery monitoring? system was defined and its application circuit is given. In the third section a switched mode power supply was realized and given information about circuit, operating principles and calculation of circuit requirements. In the fourth section, software that developed for "battery monitoring system" was defined in addition firmware software for DSP was included. In the fourth section, software that monitoring battery?s voltage was cleared and firmware of the DSP described. In the fifth section, hardware specification of the Digital Signal Processor which used in the thesis was defined. In the last section, applicability of the circuit and results was considered. Keywords: Battery Monitoring, Battery Charging, Digital Signal Processor, Power Electronics
