Abstract (EN)

In this study, structural irregularities are observed which cause to capacity exhaust and collapse of multistory systems under lateral earthquake loads when design of this systems. For this purpose, it is studied on total base tortional moment for all soil type using torsional irregularity, floor discontinuities, projections in plan, adjacent story strength irregularity (weak story), adjacent story stiffness irregularity (soft story) which determine in 2007 Turkish Earthquake Code in multistory systems under lateral earthquake loads. In addition this, it is examined to determine the performance levels of structural systems under earthquake effects by using Displacement Coefficients Method placed in FEMA 356. Performance level of structure designed on Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 soil type. The results are given with graphics and tables about the performance level of structure designed in accordance with using soil type.
