Abstract (EN)

Turkey, which has been affected by recurrent earthquakes from the past to the present and many areas are located on active faults, experienced loss of life and property during the earthquake due to natural and human errors. In order to provide shelter and safety after the earthquake, people instinctively went to public open and green spaces and used these areas as gathering and sheltering areas. In the event of a possible earthquake, security, assembly, shelter, emergency aid, etc. of open and green areas. It should be in a quality that meets the needs in terms of aspects. In this study, suggestions were made and an exemplary project was designed for Çankırı, which is one of the cities at risk of earthquake, to design a 'Convertible earthquake park', which can be used as a recreation park before the earthquake and as a disaster park after the earthquake, which can allow gathering and temporary shelter after a possible earthquake.
