The role of the physical planning in the reduce of the earthquake damages-example of Adapazarı settlement

Due to the some breakings in the earth, rapid oscillating ripple shaking the places theypass through and causing oscillating ground is reffered to '' earthquake''. The reasonof earthquakes emerge in the earth , volcanic mountains and tectonic movements isrelated to underground strength. Except, the natural factors like the distance and thespreading feature of the emerging point of quakes , the human natural factors likeunrecorded buildings , unrestrainted, unplanned , letting unsuitable grounds to beunder construction and institution , population density less civilization poverty alsorises the damages of the quakes. Turkey stands on the one of the quake bands of theworld , called '' Alp- Himalaya earthquake band''. In our country , there are so manyactif fault band which may cause destroying oscillatings. 96 percent of our landsstands in the fourth gradate quake places and 98 percent of our total population livein those lands. In our country which faces those shaking dangers , the main affectiveapplication is residence places which must be located carefully had never beenthought. In accordance to the study besides the theoric information , by quake andplanning relation such as quake phenomena and Turkey's shakeability editing , incapitals before and after the quake possible natural disaster damages reducingphyisical planning applications are being examined.
