46 SUMMARY Papulopustule lesions, erythema nodosum like eruptions and positive pathergy reactions are the most common skin lesions that can be seen in Behcet's disease. We purposed to rind out the relationship between the clinical manifestations of the skin lesions and their histopathological views. Twenty-three patients with Behçet disease, diagnosed according to the criteria of the International Study Group for Behcet's Disease, were enrolled in the study. The skin biopsies of erythema nodosum like eruptions were performed from lower leg, those of papulopustuler lesions were performed from the back and those of positive pathergy lesions were performed forearm. Vasculitis was seen in the eight of the twenty-three patients (34%). There was dermal and perivascular infiltrations in all of the other patients. Vasculitis was found in 50% of the pathergy lesions, in 33% of the papulopustular lesions and in 20% of the erythema nodosum like lesions. The frequency of the vasculitis was higher in pathergy lesions, but it was not statistically significant (p>0,05).
